About me
I’ve been creative for as long as I can remember. Drawing, painting, quilting, free motion embroidery…. It’s taken me a while to find where I click. Discovering mono printing has opened up my creative work. It has helped me to draw together my love of texture, shape, pattern and colour. It has an energy and spontaneity which is so exciting.
I am drawn to the colours of the sea and the patterns of seaweed. I use plant life, found objects and stencils to build layers in my work which I then collage, draw or paint into.
Each piece has detail within it that pulls you in and makes you want to look closer; like looking from the headline to the fine print to understand the story. Sometimes I use metallic mediums to dance and move as you change your position with the piece.
